Two things even non-Game Of Thrones fans know about Game Of Thrones: everyone dies, and everyone is hot.
OK, maybe not everyone (the White Walkers aren’t exactly lookers), but it’s fair to say most of the cast are more ‘Gods be good’ than ‘All men must die’ in the looks department.
Here, then, are the hottest from a very hot bunch. Just a shame more of them aren’t still alive. Obviously there are lots of spoilers here.
Myranda (Charlotte Hope)
By all accounts a proper wrong ‘un, she was Ramsay Bolton’s formidable love interest but met her demise at the hands of Reek. Which is pretty embarrassing.
Margaery Tyrell (Natalie Dormer)
Natalie Dormer played the only popular monarch in Game of Thrones history, Margaery Tyrell. We naturally meant she had to die at the end of season 6.
Ygritte (Rose Leslie)
Rose Leslie’s Free Folk Ygritte debuted in the second season after surviving an attack by Jon Snow and Qhorin Halfhand, but bowed out in the fourth following a final clash with her nothing-knowing lover at The Wall. Greatly missed.
Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey)
British actress Lena Headey’s Cersei Lannister has juggled an incestuous relationship with twin brother Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) and one of intense loathing with other sibling Tyrion – whom she believes poisoned her son Joffrey (Jack Gleeson). Last seen getting her revenge on… well, just about everyone, and finally being crowned Queen.
Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke)
Emilia Clarke’s Daenerys Targaryen has transformed from shrinking violet to Thrones’s formidable Mother of Dragons over the course of six seasons. And now she’s ready to take the Iron Throne.
Shae (Sibel Kekilli)
German actress (and former porn star) Sibel Kekilli played Shae, a prostitute who fatefully became the exclusive mistress of Peter Dinklage’s Tyrion Lannister.
Melisandre (Carice van Houten)
After spending a few seasons casting her spell on Stannis Baratheon (Stephen Dillane), the Red Woman is now backing Jon Snow. Remarkably she’s still alive. For now.
Ros (Esme Bianco)
Esme Bianco was a Thrones regular throughout the first three seasons filling the role of prostitute Ros with aplomb. She horrifically met her maker at the hands of (then) King Joffrey, who was happier to use poor old Ros as crossbow-shooting practice.
Missandei (Nathalie Emmanuel)
Ex-Hollyoaks actress Nathalie Emmanuel made her debut in the third series as Khaleesi’s Hand Maiden/Personal Assistant and her profile has continued to rise – both on screen and off.
Doreah (Roxanne McKee)
Daenerys’ former handmaiden was a useful corrupting influence on the Dragon Queen early on, but was ultimately not to be trusted.
Talisa Stark (Oona Chaplin)
The granddaughter of Charlie Chaplin, Oona took on the role of healer Talisa, who went on to marry former King in the North Robb Stark. Sadly, Talisa – and her unborn child – were just two casualties of the renowned Red Wedding.
Tyene Sand (Rosabell Laurenti Sellers)
One of a trio of Prince Oberyn’s bastard daughters, Tyene takes a shine to Bronn in season 5 leading to a particularly memorable prison nudity scene. She is the only surviving Sand Sister after an attack at the start of season 7.
Gilly (Hannah Murray)
The Wildling who made a man out of Samwell Tarly, Gilly is an underused character in Game of Thrones who should really be given more to do. Is also, astonishingly, still among the living.
Prince Oberyn Martell (Pedro Pascal)
The Red Viper was stylish, sexy and a great fighter… well, except for getting his head smashed. He lusted after men and women equally, and the feeling was reciprocated. Dead, of course.
